COMPUTER CLEANING MONTH LAUNCHES FOR ITS 10TH YEAR DURABLE UK Ltd has announced the launch of its 10th annual Computer Cleaning Month initiative which takes place during October and aims to highlight the importance of keeping the personal office environment clean and free from germs. Long-time President of Molly Maid in Canada and the United Kingdom, Kevin Hipkins, recently led a management buyout of the company’s UK operation marking the start of an exciting new chapter for the Molly Maid brand and organisation in the UK. Molly Maid will now operate under a master license agreement from Molly Maid International in Canada. Technical cleaning and data centre healthcare business, 8 Solutions has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Matthew Fuller as technical services director. Fuller brings to the role extensive experience of data centres having worked over 20 years for leading chiller and precision air handling manufacturers. More recently he worked in a senior sales position for a critical infrastructure technology provider. Swiftclean Building Services has provided ductwork cleaning at the new offices of International Justice Mission (IJM), a registered UK charity which works to protect the poor from violence around the developing world IJM is concerned with the working and living conditions of the poor and vulnerable in nearly twenty communities in Africa, South America and Asia. It is equally concerned that its UK premises safeguard its employees, partly by complying with TR/19, the leading guidance document for ventilation cleanliness. Support services provider, Emprise Services has landed a three-year cleaning deal with engineering company Amec Foster Wheeler. Under the terms of the deal, Emprise will provide daily cleaning and ancillary services to Amec Foster Wheeler’s sites located at Birchwood Park, Warrington; Knutsford, Cheshire and at Newbury in Berkshire. ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association has opened up membership to the ISSA Hygieia Network, a global women’s forum with the mission of advancing and retaining female professionals in all sectors and at all levels of seniority and experience within the global cleaning community. Named after the Greek goddess of cleaning and hygiene, ISSA Hygieia Network provides members with ongoing education, networking opportunities, professional development, and industry recognition. The Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers’ Association (CHSA) has raised over £5,500 for the chairman’s charity, The Helping Treat Cancer Together Committee at its annual Golf Day. Twenty-one teams took part in the event which was held at Rudding Park in North Yorkshire to raise funds for the charity which helps cancer patients with treatment costs the NHS will not fund where the patient’s doctors believes there is a reasonable chance the treatment will provide a cure, prolong life expectancy or improve quality of life.
